"Moby Dick" emerged from a deep subconscious struggle: What am I chasing, and why? Through my "Archaeological Fission" method, I explored the tension between external goals and internal peace. Is giving up actually a form of finding?
Philosophy & Inspiration
This work questions the nature of human ambition. We all have goals, but is there a difference between the mundane desire to visit a new shopping mall and the obsessive hunt for the legendary Great White Whale? One is a distraction, the other is a confrontation with the infinite. I wanted to capture that "electric short-circuit" where the hunter realizes the whale is a mirror of his own soul.
Technical Details
A powerful, multi-layered composition using high-quality acrylics, oil, and mixed media. The deep blues and fiery oranges represent the clash between the ocean's depths and the heat of human obsession. Signed on the back (verso) and finished with protective artist’s varnish
