Working under the moniker $∀$U², Sasu Kerman is a contemporary artist with a 25-year odyssey behind him. His practice operates as a contemporary ritual, deeply rooted in the exploration of the ultimate illusion of separation. For $∀$U², nothing exists in isolation; everything is deeply interconnected, bleeding into the same universal fabric.
His process is driven purely by a shamanistic trance. Kerman acts as a channel, a conductor for the electric, eternal truths of the universe. Each work speaks of the exact moment the channel receives, and the entire creation is a journey of discovery, doubt, pain, and joy. He does not merely create; he unearths a piece that has already been complete since before the dawn of time.
This distinctive methodology is a process of Archaeological Fission: a raw, honest excavation of the soul. Kerman begins his canvases by painting classical, traditional landscapes—only to aggressively overpaint them with visceral, contrasting realities. Through a destructive yet generative act of scraping, scratching, and eroding the wet surfaces, these seemingly separate worlds collapse into one another.
